Making the world safe for Messiaen, thuribles, and realist metaphysics.
I don't think there's any danger that I'll ever juxtapose those two works.... but out of curiosity, how was Imitation of Christ?
It's worth a read. Much of it pertains specifically to the monastic life, but the majority is relevant to Christians in all professions. Extremely high view of the Eucharist, which I appreciate. I'm surprised you haven't read it - you're the mediaeval philosopher, not me!
Do you own a copy, or did you borrow it?
I own a copy. You're welcome to borrow it, if you so desire.
I do! Thanks. :)
